Hart, Carl
[PSYC W2460] Drugs and Behavior

Please keep in mind that this review is more than 5 years old.

The only reason everyone thinks this guy is "amazing" and that this is "the best class ever" is because he's totally pro-
drugs and alcohol. In the lecture on alcohol, he spent 20 minutes discussing the benefits of alochol consuption, whereas the discussion on alcohol poisoning consisted of--i kid you not--a clip from the Simpsons. That's it. It was a complete joke, when that should have been a much larger focus of the lecture since college students certainly drink enough to risk alcohol poisoning!

It's a completely biased class. I feel like the kids in the class who were actually on the drugs we talked about did better than the kids who had to study.

Workload:

2 midterms. 10 quizzes (drops 2). Nightly reading. The essay/short answer part of the test is predictable and potential questions are given beforehand, but the multiple choice is rediculous. He's just not a good teacher at all. He should just focus on research and avoid students at all costs.
