Professor Ahn is very knowledgeable and approachable. Take his course! Generally speaking, linear algebra is an easy course if you only want to focus on calculation. So for non-math major students, simply watch the lecture and do the assignment will help a lot. However, if you really want to understand the underlying intuition behind each thing, professor Ahn is great. He is very patient and knowledgeable when you ask about more detailed things about LA, (e.g, how to compose a matrix of reflection or projection from orthonormal vectors, the relationship between rank of a matrix and algebraic multiplicity), which is not required but provides intuition behind it. He also held review sessions before exams, which basically covers whatever appeals in the exam. If you love Math and don't want to be bored with calculation, take his course! You will learn more intuition behind LA.

Professor Ahn provides for a very, very painless Calc III experience. He finds a really nice balance between expecting that we know a baseline, but is quick to explain something and slow down at the first sign of misunderstanding. As far as a math class goes, dare I say he's one of the best professors I've ever had, mostly due to just how incredibly laid back and chill he is. Would highly recommend Professor Ahn to anyone who wants to learn math and not be forced to watch a million youtube videos to catch themselves up-- you'll learn everything you need to know just by going to class. Plus his testing policy is god tier (see below). Take him & enjoy your life

Take this class with Andrew! He makes the workload very digestible and structures his class very well. This was the online covid format so his midterms were MCQs and he let us take 2 attempts in case something went wrong in the first one. As someone who had a relatively heavy workload in Calc 1, this class seemed super light and amazing!
