Overall, I really enjoyed this class. This class was a standout for three reasons. (1) Prof very well prepared: no fumbling for notes, but instead clear powerpoints which he makes available before the class, and lecture notes afterwards. (2) He actually seems to enjoy teaching! He's clear, and encourages discussion. I learned a lot as a result. (3) Great material: if you want to learn about how to apply economics to the real world this is a good class. Its theoretical, but at the end there's always a way to make it real.

I would highly recommend this professor. This is a required class in SIPA, but most of the professors don't seem to care about teaching. A refreshing change, this guy is instead clear, patient, and entertaining lecture. Can't ask for more.

This is one of the best classes I have taken! Professor Dehejia is the master of dry witticism. As soon as you tune into his sense of humor, the class is really fun. And of course the material is really useful. He does a good job of always linking the material back to real world policy issues, which after all is the whole point of the course. This is a professor who really cares about the quality of his class and enjoys lecturing. He is great at answering questions, and fostering class discussions. He is a really nice guy (where are those suits tailored? where does he get those ties?), and is a lot of fun. This is absolutely the section to take!
